Looking for 7.62 nato surplus ammo for my Norinco

Wow. Been under a rock for 2 yrs? :D

New USA export restrictions, cost of materials escalating, and the "war" in Iraq, among other things...

The war in Iraq has ZERO to do with the supply of surplus. You really think the US is using 20-40 year old ammo?

Supply and Demand is the only thing at work here... limited supply, and high demand.

I don't think the demand is high. It has always been the same
Supply is also not limited.

hmmmm.....Whats that word....oh ya! GREED!

Vendors here have stated a few times that they have sources of .7.62/.308 available but no one would want to pay the price. I believe CanAm could bring in a couple containers of top tier Nato .308 for ya, but I'm pretty sure it would be $1000+ a case
It is a manufacturer driven shortage and escalation in pricing.

wolverine (a sponsor of this site) carries pmc 850.00/1000. surplus is getting rare and when it shows up the prices aren't worth looking at.

It used to be cheap because it was SURPLUS, 20 year old ammo that was being sold off. The countries are no longer selling it off, and if they are, they are no longer "giving" it away cheap.

Just bought some surplus at Things Military in Calgary - $89 for 140 rounds. Non-corrosive. Don't know how much he has left. Also picked up some on the EE. Keep an eye out there.

Cheers,
Darren

And she's not easy to find boys.
I'm still looking. But when I find more Mauser or 7.62NATO rounds, I'm bringing them into Canada for the fairest price I can muster!
