Looking for 8x60R Kropatschek dies

I use the 8mm Lebel dies to form the necks and bump back the shoulder.
Works OK for me but you have to be careful to set the die height properly.
My brass is all Berdan so I use a Berdan Primer decapping tool.
One other thing, that cartridge was originally developed for Black Powder and ONE of the last firearms made for BP.
There were several different loads made for them which included lead bullets, paper patched lead bullets, cupro nickel jacketed bullets, copper jackets and supposedly some soft round nose, jacketed bullets for hunting and wooden bullets. Of course, because the cartridges are loaded into a tubular magazine, the bullets need to be round or flat nosed.
I've tried all sorts of bullets in my rifles but they all have slightly different bore diameters. I find paper patched lead bullets work best and you don't have to worry about sizing.

Your 348 Winchester cases will reform properly in a 8 lebel rifle die. The rims must have a bevel put on them which can be done in a hand drill and file. I use my lathe and a file.
RCBS or any of the custom die makers will make up a set for you. They won't be cheap.
I searched dozens of gun shows for years looking for a set of dies. No luck

According to this post over at Gunboards, who aren't strangers to reloading odd, old cartridges, 8x56mmR Kropatchek dies work just as well and they are made by CH4D.
Just know, though, that the CH4D dies will probably cost you over US$100. They made 8x58mmRD dies for my Danish Rolling Block rifle and it ended up costing me CAD$150 last year and I did have to wait about a year. Judging by a later post in that thread you may be waiting a while. That said, if you want to dance, the band has to get paid.

I ended up getting a set from CH4D. Not cheap but should last forever.
I see that Kropatchek cases can be made from 50-110 cases as well. They are cheaper than the 348 Win and longer so the reformed case would have the longer neck to help prevent being flipped out of the action during the loading sequence. Not sure if the amount of necking down would require neck turning (I do not have a lathe and would have to hire someone to bevel rims, etc...). More research needed, but slowly making progress.
