I am going to Vancouver next week and am looking to get my hands on a 1911 9mm mag for my Kimber ... I'm looking for Wilson, McCormick or Tripp ... but am open to other higher end mags ... I am trying to diagnose a feed issue.

Those of you that prowl the gun shops in Van ... have you seen any of these in any lower mainland stores? If so that would save me a lot of driving around ...

Thanks for any suggestions.

The best thing to do is phone the various businesses and ask. That would save you tons of time driving shop to shop. Start with Wanstalls.

Brownells have 10rd Chip McCormicks in stock for 34.95 (about $46 CDN by my calculation). You may get them even cheaper if they offer a 3-pack. They ship small packages to Canada for a flat 10.95 via post.

I can't find that flat rate anywhere on Brownells site. When I tried ordering a couple small parts, all I got was "shipping rate TBD". Shipping rate is calculated AFTER submitting CC info and the ordered has been processed. Was the above rate a recent order?
+1 on brownells.com

Shipping us cheaper than most Canadian retailers. Also you end up not paying taxes most of the time.
It seems the CBSA are billing for duties/taxes/handling fee on any package valued $20.00 and up. Plus the extra 7-10 days to clear customs. At least that has been my experience. YMMV.

I have ordered from Brownells ... last order was a set of grips, so a very small package, and the shipping was $15 (that's in US$ remember) and it took almost a month from order to receiving, so be prepared to wait, I think international orders are last on their priority list. I did not get a bill for any CBSA stuff.

Maybe just luck of the draw. The last package delivered from the US to my door, I had to pay the postie for the duty & handling fee. Others I picked up at the postal outlet, same thing.
