I already have a S&W M&P15 Sport 2. Changed the handgard to a triagle M-Lock and the grip to something more palatable than the standard grip that I can't stand. Looking at buying another cheap AR15, while the prices are still low. I'm not in a hurry, I think we still have at least a good 12 months before prices come back up. So does anyone have an opinion on (all of these in the 630-750$ range)

-Another S&W Sport 2 (probably my last choice, because I already have one);
-DPMS Panther 5.56 Oracle (no front sight post, so different from my S&W);
-The bushmaster CQB (goes on sale at cabela once in a while for 750$ including a red dot);
-A truenortharms mystery box. This one is kind of the wild card imho. 710$ for a full AR worth allegedly over 800$. I have only the basic AR tools though, gonna need something to install the barrel to the upper, so either buy a tool or pay a gunsmith.

Anyone has any opinion on these choices? Pros and Cons welcome. Other low-priced opinions also welcome.

Any particular reason you want a second inexpensive AR as apposed to selling the M&P15 and purchasing one good black rifle?

Prices on high(er) end stuff hasn't come down as much as the cheap stuff. As said in my OP, I believe the era of really inexpensive ARs will last for a while, but it's coming to an end eventually.

After I get another cheap one, I might sell the one I like the least and get some higher-end one though. Then I'd have my favorite cheap one, and a more expensive one. As far as handguns goes, I have both a shadow1 and a shadow2, and I'm not in any hurry to sell either although they are both very similar (like 2 ARs). I have no problem owning 2 of something very similar.

Since you already own one the urgency of getting it immediately is not an issue, I would simple save your money a little longer and move up to a DD or a Colt or take full advantage of the AR's modularity and buy a short barrel SBR upper.

I'm sure I saw the Radical Firearms AR on sale at one of the sponsors for $649?? Looks like a good deal, comes fairly well equipped for the money, I think they usually sell for $750 or so

Id maybe just build one from scratch if your already considering a mystery box, the main advantage is you can spread the money out over time and really get the parts you want.

I had the same thought as you and ended up deciding on doing my own build. I to have a M&P15 that I swapped all the furniture for Magpul MOE which I very much enjoy. I am now building a 7.5” barrel AR with a CCS stock chambered in 7.62x39 as something different. Been buying parts as they go on sale and everything being new I am around $550 for everything. If building is an option for you I would suggest doing that since you can build exactly what you want.

Id switch it up as much as possible. Why get something that is just like what you already have? My first AR purchase was a stripped spikes lower. Ended up picking up a Colt SA20 as well before I bought any parts for the Colt. Now i'm slowly building up the lower and am planning a short barreled .300 blk build. I figured two ARs that are nearly polar opposites would keep me interested in both of them. Plus I want to get into reloading and .300 blk seemed fun lol.

Have you thought about going with a retro 20” AR? I found it a nice change from carbine length AR’s, and you can find nice Colts on the EE for a few hundred more than your price range.

You might as well grab a Nork for $5 ish. Ya gotta think......how many times are you actually gonna go to the range this year ? 3, or 4 times. Unless your an avid 3gun shooter,..your never going to wear it out . If it was a NR rifle you might opt for a better quality rifle , as you can now take it out anywhere,.... back 40, farm ect, and you could really go through alot of ammo & use it every day. my 2 cents.

While looking through my paper certificate for my restricted i saw a paper with a Norinco AR on it so i didn't recall that rifle so i look in both my safes and i did find a Norinco Commando M4 AR 10.5 inch in the back of one of the safe, this rifle is unfired and brand new.

I got this rifle from one of our sponsor that was having a deal with one K rounds of ammo and this Norinco AR for 699.00, some of you will recall that deal so i'm not buying an another AR, i'm going to use that chinese AR 10.5 instead.

This should be a lot of fun, this AR is pretty small i think it's smaller than a Daniel Defense Mk 18.
