I am in the planning stages of a long range hunting rifle. This would not be your conventional pack it up the hill outfit, but would be more like an long range bench rest or F class rig. It will be shot from a bench rest. I think I have pretty much settled on the 300 Win Mag with 190 to 210 gr bullets. So my question is. What barrel maker ? I do not think one would go wrong with a Kreiger but there are a couple of Canadian makers I have had zero experience with but would like to give some consideration to. Bob Jury, a buddy has one of his in 6mm and is happy with it and Jury is close to home. The other is JC custom barrels , clams to make match grade barrels at about $150 less than a Krieger would be. So here it is .30 cal ,30" finished , 1-10T , heavy palma at least , Jury ,JC custom or bite the bullet so to speak and get a kreiger ?
