For some reason or another the Canadian shooting community seems to be solely focused on how tight of a group one shoots, this is what seems to be what the difference is of putting together a 0.2" and less and carrying that same accuracy to distances of 1000 meters and greater, last I checked wind reading played a huge part in all of it....even on 100m grouping days, so with saying that if you're having good wind call days it is very possible to post 3 inch groups or less at over 1000m, even the newest of shooters are capable of such feats. I agree that Insite Arms builds a very accurate system, my 6xc put together a nice 0.132" group today as it has in the past, I don't need to post up a group to the "it does it all day long page" as some days are calm shooting days with no wind which are rare and some are 3-7 mph wind days and if all is going good a 0.3" group is stellar for the day. I am just a regular guy that likes to shoot and am passionate for the knowledge that can be attained from all disaplines of shooting, I have like most on here no "NATIONAL RECOGNITION" nor do I care to, but Jerry I am tired of your sarcasm and suggestions of what is good and what is not and what people shoot do as we'll as giving advice on certain disaplines you have only read about and how you like to seemingly call others out to play at your disaplines as you said "we need your services"....well I am gonna do the exact same to you and call you out infront of everyone on CGN,....June 24-26 2016 Sniper's Hide Cup Colville Washington bring your 783 Remington and let's get at it, you vs me, if I lose to you I will buy a 783 Remington and run it at comps for one year, if I have a good day and edge a win over you, you buy a rifle from Insite Arms and do the same run it at comps for a year....I don't want any reply to this in any form PM or otherwise, other than you accept or decline the call, either way I will respect your decision with no explanation needed.
I can't speak for the rest of the Cdn community but you are in the Target and precision forum where we ARE interested in pushing the mechanical limits of our rigs..... Why?
Cause we know and pay a great deal of respect to the winds. Anything that can help us reduce our cone of accuracy pays dividends in higher scores and/or smaller groups
I am thrilled that your rifle is shooting well...Anytime you can drill them into one hole, its a great feeling and should be celebrated.... so congrats.
How's it average on a good day?
PRS is a very interesting format for me and harkens back to my early days of precision shooting. Many years and a bunch more lbs later, the dynamic nature of the sport will cause problems but it is a great reason to get back into the gym.
I think they are about to start a "seniors" division... that'll work
Finding out how many matches are held in Washington state is fantastic and I look forward to getting to a few after my FTR obligations are done
See you there.
