Looking at the CZ 452/453/455 varmint. Can someone educate me on the differences between the three?

And how do they compare to the ruger 77/22? Is it worth the extra money to go to the laminate 77/22? Do they come with rings like other ruger firearms?

This is primarily a fun gun for myself and for new shooters. I would like to look for something nice/accurate/easy to maintain for long term keep.

Thanks for your inputs.

Accuracy wise, the CZs have a much better reputation. The 452 is the old model, which is being replaced by the 455, and the 453 is the 452, with a much nicer single set trigger.

If you can find a 452 buy it they are higher quality than the 455. The cz is a great 22. The 453 is a 452 with an excellent factory set trigger.

Don't overlook the CZ 452 American. It has a skinnier barrel and tapered stock forend. It shoots every bit as well as the varmint.

if i could only have one gun it would be the cz 455!!! very accurate very dependable! and for 500 bucks it pretty much kills the ruger!!!!!! CZ CZ CZ. and once you get it all worn in its is so smooth shooting! the diff it just what stubblejumper said!

I just got a 452fs in the mail wednesday. Its awesome! Great addition to my other 2 452s. I put a trigger kit in it and its at a pound and a quarter now. Seems to like the cci ammo just like the other 2. Really nice wood too! 100% recomend.

Just sold a 77/22 stainless and lam stock. Its' best feature was the stainless for a truck gun.The trigger was terrible. I had it for 10 years but now have 3 CZs and they are the way to go. The set trigger is awesome for long range gophers.
