Greetings all:
I'm looking for a Canadian firm that sells the Schuster gas plug for a M1 Garand. I tried ordering two from Brownells, but they "canceled order due to DDTC restrictions". Any and all help is very much appreciated. Pm me if you wish. Thanks to all!

Ellwood Epps may be worth contacting as I was directed to them when I had a similar inquiry. I never followed up because it turned out that Brownells also carries the McCann Industries gas plug and they are able to ship it up to Canada:

In case you're interested, the McCann works great and I prefer it over the Schuster as I can record the proper insert in my log book and return to it easily.

As an aside, don't bother trying to figure out why the Schuster is restricted and the McCann is not. Neither company is registered with the State Department, yet somehow the Schuster is classified as a gun part, while the McCann is not.
 
I bought mine from Creedmore Sports last fall, no issues shipping it north. Service was excellent.

Thousands of rounds of commercial ammo was fired through M1's with no fuss long before somebody thought an adjustable gas plug was needed.
