Looking for a cheap A2 flash hider...

As stated in the thread title. I currently have a big mean muzzle brake on my 14.5" AR, and it scares my wife to the point of her not wanting to shoot it (I know, what can I say, she's dainty). Problem is the only ones I've seen are like $30 at the cheapest, which seems crazy to me, as you can pick them up in the states for under $10... anybody got any leads?

Why not go for something like this that focuses the blast downrange making it much nicer for her to shoot.

How much is it worth to you to have your wife enjoy going shooting with you?

Liner comps are great on a short AR.
There is no real advantage to using a A2 Flash hider in Canada.

What is your "Monster" Brake?

Some of them have shields that you can add on and remove quickly when needed and the shield does the same thing as a liner comp.

Not sure if yours has external threads on it though.

I personally am using the AAC Blastout and blackout.

I'll take the fierce recoil of the mighty 5.56 with a linear comp over a muzzle brake any day. .338 lapua or .50 bmg might be a different story. Linear comp on both 14.5" and 18.5" barrels is noticeably quieter than even the A2 birdcage.

With all the new M&P15 sold over the last few months you might be better off posting a WTB in the EE. More than a few people will swap them out for a brake before they even fire the gun.

All my ARs have had the A2 replaced with a brake. The 7.5" and the 10.5" got linears. Greta for sound reduction.

I have a box of A2s. If you were near me, I would give you one.

Many others have done the same, you just post a WTB on EE.
