looking for a competent pistolsmith

Can anyone recommend a competent gunsmith experinced in fixing WWI era pistols. I do not mean "accurising" a 1911, but being capable of metalwork related to functioning. Although I am located in Ontario, the gunsmith could be in any province.
If not too much trouble, please describe type of work he has done for you.

A lot depends on what handgun it is and what you need done. If they/it is/are something not made any more, getting parts will be an issue. Having a smithy make parts can be a very expensive proposition.

Thanks for the help. I seem to recall coming across the name of Jason Spenser in the past.

The problem is the mag not goinng all the way up into the magwell. One of the previous owners must have banged the butt against something hard and as a result there is a small bend going in on one side of the magwell
