Looking for a complete upper for an AR "pistol"

So I just got an Aero precision lower in & I have a LPK on the way. Now I need an upper. I want to do something with a short barrel like 7.5 or 10.5 around there. I'm looking at the NEA uppers & am wondering if they're any good?

Also is the carbine length of the 10.5 going to be more reliable than pistol length?

What other brands other than NEA have complete uppers with a short barrel length here in Canada? (I looked at irunguns but didn't see much)
 
You could always get a stripped (or completed) upper and then decide on barrel and gas system on your own. Any number of great Canadian options like Dlask or S&J or ATRS or as you mentioned NEA. Aero should have some affordable uppers available. Often Brownells even has them cheap enough to avoid the paperwork if there aren't any in stock north of the 49th.

For any kind of repeatable/reliable shooting at any kind of real distance the shortest I would go is 10.5. But then again it depends on your intentions.
 
I picked up one of these from IRG at the end of the summer even with exchange I thought it was a pretty decent deal since it came with the BCG. I haven't had any issues running it on my Aero lower with a standard buffer. The PSA upper has the same forge mark as the Aero upper I got this week looks like both PSA and Aero are forged by Anchor Harvey. I am going to swap out the PSA Upper for the Aero Upper that way I know they match but there are no issues with the PSA upper, I just want a matching upper and lower receiver lol.

If that was in stock I'd probably buy it. Otherwise I'm only seeing NEA that has complete uppers. Not interesting in building the upper.
