I have an Eberlestock Phantom and like it much more than a conventional type drag bag. It also depends what you are using it for, take it to the range, competitions etc. I use it for work and found that a drag bag just didn't cut it. With the Eberlestock, I can take pretty much everything needed for a deployment, ammo, gas mask, smoke, spotting scope, mat, bino's, rangefinder, Kestrel 4000, veils, camo nets for exterior hides, shooting sticks etc... I had an Eagle Drag Bag and couldn't even come close to getting this stuff in the drag bag.Nothing is perfect though as I found that a drag bag is much for practical for rural operations if you need to stalk. But as stated, depends what you are using it for. If you are just taking it to the range, a Pelican Case is definitely sufficient. Just my opinion.
