Hello everyone

Looking for a good/affordable 12 gauge either over/under or auto, I'm new to the sporting clay sport and finding it a little difficult with a pump action(damn rabbits... lol)

Can anyone help with either advice on what would work best, and or sell me a gun?

Thanks

I'll probably be shunned, but I skeet with a Mossberg 590 Mariner pump.
I have no problems keeping up and or beating others.

I get weird looks from the old timers from time to time, but I'll give em a run for their money ;)
When it starts to rain and everyone runs to tuck their fancy babies in cases, I can leave it in a puddle and have a coffee

And for 500-600 it didn't break the bank :D

A pump gun isn't a great choice for a clays shooter. One more thing to remember to do on a tight pair. A reliable semi-auto is far better. The Beretta 391 is probably the best one on the market but the Browning Golds, Winchester SX3 and even the Remington 1100 will do better shooting clays than a pump.

The short-barrelled tactical gun is a very poor choice if you are serious about hitting targets on a regular basis.

Good, and affordable, I'd recommend a Remington 1100 in 2-3/4", with choke tubes. $500 should be reasonable for a lightly used gun.
