As title states, grabbed a 12.5 Grizzly, prob going to buy an ATI. Stock with scorpion recoil system, looking for a good holster to strap to side of hiking pack to be able to draw defensively in case I surprise a bear/cougar...

Yea, I grabbed a Tan Voodoo to strap to the side of my FDE pack. Taking it to the range to practise quick follow up shots with full 3" slug loads.... Practice makes perfect... hoping to never have to use it, then again I don't want that feeling of almost complete helplessness after running into some bears...
Nice setup , M14, did u make the para cord sling or purchase?
The scabbards are great for the Grizzly, however you need to be aware of a problem. Those Grizzlies with the Ghost ring sights can be problematic. The high, sharp front sight actually snags horribly in the inside of the scabbard, often tearing the liner. 2 easy fixes..Smooth the sharp edges with a file and reblue. This helps but does not eliminate the problem. I found that making a liner for the scabbard, using PVC pipe works terrific. The pipe needs to be cut into half and heat molded to contour the interior of the scabbard. Takes a little time but it functions reliably. Nothing worse than having to draw from the scabbard and getting hung up on a snag...
