Okay take it easy on me. I'm relatively a newbie and while I've googled, because I will more than likely be buying online I'm hoping to get the opinions of those with experience to save myself grief. I am looking to get into PPC shooting and I was wondering if there are more universal holsters that would fit the guns and mags I have, or if I'm sort of stuck buying individual holsters and mag holders for each gun? The ones in my collection are for now are a Sig Sauer p320, and a Walter PPQ (both 9mm). Thanks in advance.

that might be what your looking for. It won't work as well as a dedicated holster but it should comply will all the regs and function properly. For mag pouches you can just start with cheap nylon and then work your way up. Check EE, there's usually a few up for sale.

That is overkill for PPC since you are not drawing and firing direct from the holster (it is only used to carry the gun when not shooting).

Forgot to mention in my first post, for mag pouches I use this for a cheap option http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0018LBKUO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00 and this for a belt http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B001BR4R6E?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00

Considering the cost of guns, ammo and the rest is it really prohibitive to buy two holsters that properly fit the guns in question? Does Bladetech not make the $30 injection molded kydex holsters anymore? They work much better than any generic nylon holster possibly can. OP, do yourself a favor and buy a proper holster belt if you are going to use a holster. The 5.11 Tactical series belts are very reasonably priced and are built correctly for carrying a holstered pistol and mag pouches. They are more comfortable and safer than a generic web belt that doesn't have the strength to hold the holster in place correctly. Those UTG mag pouches should be OK as long as you don't expect to do any fast reloads while on the clock.

Are you planning on shooting the 1500 semi-automatic match? If so, any strong hand holster can work. You will need at least 3 mag pouches. If you are planning on shooting the "duty pistol" match, then your pistol must be on the approved list and the holster must be at least Level II retention (not counting friction or tension) The C.P.C.A. rulebook is available online.

THIS.....excellent post!

Have you considered these guys? I have one of their holsters and while I wouldn't use it in a competition, I think it would meet your needs.

I'm not opposed to having two holsters but to me that would mean 3 belts as I really don't want to be fussing around moving things. Like I said, I'm new. I shot my first (for fun) PPC course the other day (with a loaner gun and a level 3 safariland) and pretty much got the bug. So now I'm trying to source out my own gear since I know this is something I'd like to persue.

I looked up CPCA however it looks like their site hasn't been updated in 9 years. Their list of approved pistols was last updated in 2006, and all copyrights expired in 2010. I'm not sure if it's right but I did look up the requirements in the US off the NRA site. Anyone know if the pistol list is transferable from there?

Our continually expanding selection of Hogue products now includes more holsters.

We also welcome recommendations from everyone regarding which brands/models of holsters that should be added next to the 4GT lineup.

Canadian or USA made product recommendations are preferred.
