Hey Guys;

Looking for suggestions as to where I might find a nice holster for my Smith & Wesson Model 29 in 44Mag? Looking to wear it on my hip for bears IF I ever get an ATC. I would like to have some loops for cartridges OR a means to carry some speed loaders...

Thoughts? (Other than the inevitable smart a$$ comments about never getting an ATC... Chuckle)

Cheers & Thanks
Jay

I always order from these guys, may take just over a month or so to get it, but they are nice.

I use grey jay leathers in regina for all my duty gear. Top notch workmanship, and Canadian. It holds up extremely well. I am not easy on my gear and still looks newish

My avatar is a photo I took of Elmer Keith when I visited him. I contacted Milt Sparks who made the holster Elmer has in the photo. The present day model of that holster, primarily for safety and liability issues, has a covered trigger guard area.

I was, however, able to get them to make me a replica of Elmers:d:d:d.

adopt me and leave me that in your will lol. But seriously what happens to that classic bud when you pass, i cant even deal with the fact of it being destroyed.

:(Yes, at my age, it's definately a concern, even though when that day comes, it won't really matter much to me. My SIL has one small prohib and as such, got in under the wire and is 12(6). I have a number of additional prohibs
;)including this one

and I plan to make 'reasonable' use of them for a few years yet. As long as something totally unexpected doesn't occour, hopefully when the time is right, plan A, I'll 'sell' them to my SIL, for $1.oo. Plan B, I have a friend and his family across the line I could make arrangements with to sell them for me down there. In the meantime:d.

On a few occasions, from where I've been told I'm going or headed,;) perhaps I should consider taking one with me:p. In my post #13, amazing what I've been offered for the grips on my 29. S&W factory ivory magna grips that I acquired at a local gun show a few years back and the only set I've ever seen.
