Try a WTB in the EE.
Or for a newbie, Wanted To Buy in the Equipment Exchange.
You have applied for access to the EE...............right?

I'm sorry I dont understand what you are saying?
Can you say in kamlooky speak please.

To the Op, ask for access in the EE and post away there should be a few offers coming your way pdq.
There is also a place in Edmonton called Western Gun Parts.
Have your serial number handy along with the make model of your gun and the fine girl who answers will be happy to assist you.
Tight Groups,
Rob

You got a BLR for what??? Sure beats a free coffee with every 10th purchased!

There's was pre '81 mag F/S on the parts EE.Hopefully still there and in your caliber. Be prepared to pay big $$$ though.

WSS sports in West Kelowna has some in stock - $99.99.

I just sold my new, but spare BLR magazine for $60, plus shipping. If your not in a hurry and you watch the ads you will eventually find one.

You sure those are pre '81 BLR mags? If so then buy out the store and make a killing on eBay. I paid $80 for a spare mag for my post 1981 Browning BLR Lightweight '81 from Epps last summer.

Pre 1981 BLRs are different.

I have both a BLR and a Savage 99F. The advantage of a detachable mag is just that. Easy to unload when getting into your vehicle, easy to reload when getting back out. Except that if you don't seat it properly it can drop out. Hasn't happened yet but I bought a back up just in case.

The other thing about the '99 is when your fingers are frozen and you have a one piece scope mount across the receiver its a PITA to reload quickly and avoid jamming the spool.

No worries on the scope mount, got two piece on both my 99's.I do like those blr's though. Not for the aesthetics lol, but as i am in my mid 40's, i'm finding a preference for lightweight deer rifles.

The old style hung down like a cows bellie.
The BLR81's fit flat, like fried eggies.
And iff'n WSS in Keelowner's has the newer style fer $99, that's owtraygeous.
