Looking for a new rifle, suggestions?

Hey new here hope I post this in the right place,

Looking to get a new rifle to do target and hunting with. Looking for a bolt action rifle with a short barrel since I do go through alot of bush when hunting, but can also be a good long range rifle, if that's possible and hopefully under $1000 for just the rifle.

I use a Remington 700 Tactical...its a little bit heavier, but its definitely a rifle I dont regret buying.

Love the tikka CTR little more cash and the mags cost , but nice rifle for target and handy for hunting if you don't mind the workout

What caliber are you looking for? Right now I'd recommend a Remington 700P or a Weatherby Vanguard.

Tikka's are getting really good reviews lately but they just aren't for me. Go shoulder a couple and see what you like.

Check out the winchester xpr . I picked one up in .243 vias camo. Really liking it. Lots of good reviews and great price. Also the Vanguard 2. It shoulders great for me.
