Looking for a new set of handguns, Help me decide!

I bought the M&P 9mm and the M&P 22 for a couple of reasons. Both are virtually identical in size, the 9 is a bit heavier, both fit my Blade-Tech holster. No reliability issues with either, the M&P22 eats just about any ammo but has zero issues with CCI Blazer or Mini-Mags. The M&P22 is a breeze to field strip.

I know a guy who has a Sig 226 with the .22 conversion kit, it has issues with cheap ammo and has had lots of FTF problems. The other thing I don't like is, it fails to lock the slide back on last round, so essentially, he dry fires it all the time.

Mmm... good call on the M&P. The M&P .22 is awesome! They do eat most ammo. My Sig P226 .22 needs to be clean and wet to run cheap ammo reliably.

I have had similar issues with the 22lr version as well. I found that CCI Mini Mags have an extremely low ftf rate and there is a business member on CGN who sells his own 3D version of the 22lr mag that stays open upon last shot fired. I forget the fellow's name but you could search it or I am sure someone will know.

I have an M&P .22 and love it!

Also have a CZ 75B special edition but didn't go the Kadet route as it is pricey and hard to find. Take the price of the Kadet kit, add a few bucks and you have 2 guns. I do the bulk of my range time on the .22 then finish with the 9.

I'm not thrilled with the sights on the .22 so have now ordered a bridge and red dot sight, but that's just my eyes... M&P is a great gun. Fun to shoot, very accurate, easy to clean and unlike the buckmaster etc, it feels like a big boy gun. I always thought the action of the buckmaster etc felt like I was using a pellet gun. (I'm sure I've pissed a lot of people with that one...)

I would say that if I was going to go with the M&P line in .22 and 9mm, I would seriously consider the C.O.R.E in 9mm.
Have fun!

9mm Browning High Power and Ruger semi auto (the one that looks like a Luger) both are good shooters right out of the box.
