Hey Everyone,
I'm looking for opinions/reviews on peep sights for my Savage Mark II G. I am looking for dove-tail mounts, as I don't want to drill any holes. Anybody have any recommendations?
Thanks!

Check out (google) Williams sights. Heard several people recommend them highly who are big iron sight/peep sight enthusiasts.

Thanks for the reply's!

I bought the gun around 2002-2004 I can't remember exactly, but I think it was the year before the accu-trigger appeared on the Mark II. It is not drilled and tapped, just grooved. I had a look already on the Williams website. Are there any other less known companies that offer good quality peeps that mount to the grooves?

Hey there!

Have a look at a Williams WGRS-54. I keep several on hand as they are meant to fit the European 11mm dovetails. Depending on the width of your rail, this sight should easily slide onto your rifle. In some cases the WGRS-54 may be a bit tight on some American 3/8 rails. In that case, I just take a small triangular file, and adjust the width of the dovetail on the sight. File very slowly, and check often!!!

Depending upon the height of your front sight, you may need to raise the height of the ramp.

Hope this helps,

w.w.w.

Hey do you guys know about the shipping costs on the sights? It says for shipments out of the US you gotta call them for more info and can't order online. Haven't called them though...
