Good day CGNr's,

As the title states, I am looking for a PIAT! It's for the WO's & Sgt's Mess of the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada. We have a corner of the mess dedicated to Smokey and we figured that the PIAT would complete it.

So can anyone point me in the right direction? I've read on line about a guy in the UK that builds pretty good repro's, however we would sooner hold out for the Real McCoy.

Cheers

Try Collector's Source. They have mortars and anti-tank rifles and such, mostly deactivated. Their prices are on the high side, but their service is excellent. Even if they are not advertising a PIAT on their site, they might have one "out back".

You could also try a WTB on the EE. There are at least a couple of members here that likely have one (might not want to sell it though).

Should be a few still out in BC. Lever had a whack of them, years and years ago.... $19.95, if I remember rightly, plus 5% for dear Wacky Bennet and Flying Phil to waste.

There was one on Milsurps.com a while back - I think it was a CGN member who had it for sale but cannot remember who. I believe the price was around $3K. I would love to have one, and they may well be worth that kind of money, but if I was to spend that much I would add (alot) more to it and go for a Longbranch sniper instead.

Last one i saw was at auction 6 years ago. Went to a phone in bid of $400.

I would have bought it but blew my money on an 18 lber projectile , multiple 6 lber projectiles and 2 No.68 MkIII Rifle Grenades.

I guess I bought mine at the right time. $250 if memory serves.
Now how do you deactivate a steel rod propelled by a 200 lb spring? And WHY in the heck would anyone bother?
Following the directions, I mamaged to #### mine. HOWEVER reading further, you CANNOT dry fire the bloody thing without damaging it. So I had to EASE the spring back down. Not something I want to try again!

another odd fact about the PIAT, if you are under a certain height, you can RUPTURE yourself trying to #### it!

Thanks to all that took the time to respond. Collectors Source had found one for me in great condition. Now the Mess just needs to vote on it.

Cheers

Speking of PIATS, does anyone know where I can find the small training round that fits in the accessory trough? I already have the full size drill round.
