Thanks for looking

For those that will tell me to knock on doors and talk to people, it has been done and I haven’t had success.
Either someone hunts there, or people don’t like hunting.

I have turkeys at my front door, but I live on a sub division so no hunting.

If you have a piece of land that legal to hunt on and are willing to let me hunt, let me know.
In return I’m willing to work off the debt or what ever you need. Have tools and skill(labour not tools themselves) that can be traded for permission.

Looking for Caledon and surrounding area.
Pm me and maybe we can work something out.

Thanks again

K

I'm still telling you to knock on MORE doors and get it figured out... if you stick with the scouting and knocking, you will find a spot.

I wouldn't let a stranger of any flavor on my property. You gotta meet people. Join a sportsman's club. Hell play cards at the legion. You got to get to know people. But it will happen.

Theres a reason why there are multiple threads of people looking to hunt in this area. Because it's only 1 hour from Toronto. It's getting extremely built up and less farm land all the time

It's harder and harder every year, Lost another property this year due to being sold.

Good luck, go North and East is my suggestion.

Welp, back in the mid 80's driving/scouting for goose hunting opportunities we spotted a guy walking the grid road with a hydraulic hose in his hand for tractor.
Slowed down and offered him a ride...talked about the weather, the crops, the humidity and the mustard seed...
45 minutes later dropping him off at the farm yard he asks "you guys find and geese ?"
We answer in the negative and he invites us back later in the afternoon before supper and he will set us up with a spot to try.
He actually lined us up with a couple buddies for the next couple of days.
Your right, I wouldnt let any stranger hunt my field/property.
Rob

Just buy your own property. Someone knocking on my door asking to use my land would totally turn me off. Or you need to meet some people in an organic way and make some friends.

Have you tried putting an ad in the local paper?

A gun/hunting forum is probably the worst place to ask. I highly doubt anyone on here is going to let another hunter onto their hunting properties...

Hunting opportunities on private land are few and far between in Caledon. I lived there for 5 years and most that live out in the country are left leaning types. I'd try to look for working farms as they're more likely to be owned by hunter-friendly people. Buying land out there is not cheap. Last conversation I had with a local agent 3-4 years ago, the going price was about $20k per acre.

This is the best advice on here!

Lions club, legion, ATV club, dart league. anything were you can have some idle chat.

i'd need to meet a person a few times before id let them on my land with a loaded gun.

So you have knocked on every single door ? Maybe it is the way you are presenting yourself. Try other areas. How many days have you spent I will assume you spent at least 365 days knocking on house.

Have you also checked out the county forests in the area?

With covid virus, going to rural properties is not a good idea at the moment
And turkey season is just around the corner
