I am looking to purchase a black rifle. I am willing to pay for quality. I want it in .308 (7.62x51) and to be non-restricted. Also would like it to be a good platform for being tricked out with add ons. Sub MOA is preferred but not a deal breaker. I have read a lot of posts on the ACR and XCR but there has to be more options out there. I appreciate any help you can give.
Cheers

The ACR and XCR do not fit what you are requesting. Nothing does. M1A comes close. Getting one that shoots MOA with tactical stocks and such may be an issue.

You will be hard-pressed to find a semi that is sub-moa. Not impossible, but not common.

By "tricked out" and "add-ons" do you mean flame paint job, underglow kit, and a wing where the rear irons should be?

The instant you said non restricted and .308, you took about 90% of the so called black rifles out of the picture since most of them are based on the AR platform. My Armalite AR10 with the match barrel will cut cloverleafs at 100, and the carbine upper I just got for it will shoot 11/4and I haven't played with it much. Of course they are restricted.

Thanks for the responses. Sub moa was a wish, but not a necessity. The non-restricted and 308 were the main stipulations. For tricked out, i meant rails for add ons, scope and other goodies. I know I eliminated a lot with these criteria, but i was trying to get a fun range rifle and hunting rifle in one package.

XCR-M is really the only way to go. Monolithic upper, modular barrel system (for future calibre swaps), quad rail out of the box, full length top rail for BUIS....etc. It is MOA capable, but most of the reports I've read have been a little let down by its accuracy.
