Hi All,

Looking for a Remington 1100 in 20 gauge to turn into a gun for my son for next year. Will take the exisiting stock off and put on a youth stock, most likely, unless someone has something that fits the bill already. Looking for an autoloader to suck up the recoil and will use a limiter plug to keep it at one shot or just single load it.

If you have something of interest, please let me know.

Regards

Mark

You're on the right track; a 20 ga. 1100 has almost no recoil. The only issue may be of weight on the foreward hand, and youngsters may have trouble supporting it well. A 30" barrel will be even more muzzle heavy when you use a shorter stock, so try to get a 26" barrel if you can. You'll notice that the factory youth models shorten the stock, and then REALLY shorten the barrel to balance it, like 24 or 21 inches.

A very sweet shooting gun.
