Any suggestions on where I can order a holster for an Alfa 3561 357 magnum 6"?

Just ordered the revolver and awaiting the transfer to be completed, thought I'd get some accessories before it arrives.

The Alphas fit in the same holsters as the S&W K frame guns. So anything for a 6 inch barrel model 10, 14, 19 or other K frame gun will work.

Leather is likely best since there are some very small details that are not the same. The hard plastic Kydex or molded holsters might not accept even these small variations. But my Alpha is working just fine in two stiff leather holsters that I use for my K frame guns.

In stock form the trigger pull is pretty heavy. Order up the reduced power mainspring from Rusty Wood trading and it lightens up the trigger to where it feels like a Wolff kit equipped S&W. The $10 will make you smile. It's a lot for one spring and a couple of washers. But you're paying for the work and testing needed to find out what power of spring was needed.

I've put Rusty's spring into my 9mm Alpha and have not had a single light strike out of around 300 rounds fired since installing it. The spring comes with two or three shim washers to up the spring force a little if they are needed. But so far no reason to put them in.

When I get the revolver I'll check out the trigger pull. I did notice the kit on Rusty Wood and might have to consider buying it, we'll see.

Thanks again for the recommendations.

If you're getting a holster then you're likely to need speed loaders as well. Again my measurements show me that the AP guns are the same as the S&W K frame guns. So the same speedloaders should work just fine.

BCRider, I rec'd my revolver and this one has an adjustable trigger pull. I just tuned it down and it seems to be about where I want it. Don't know the weight of it but it is lighter. Won't be able to give it a test at the range until next week at the earliest. Overall I'm impressed with the quality of this shooter, it's clean and the machining looks fine.

Got a holster that is fabric which is fine by me. The brand is Pit Bull it's sturdy and meets what I need it for.

Cheers!!!

Adjustable trigger? I'll have to talk to my local dealer about this!

I never thought to mention the soft holsters since so much of my own use is geared to competitions where I draw on the clock. The odd thing is that I've got a soft Uncle Mike's that I use for some events where I just need a way to carry the gun around. I bought it to fit one particular revolver and it turned out that it holds every handgun I've got just about equally as well.

The adjusting screw is on the right side of the grip(must be removed). You don't have to take the plate off as the screw is visible via a hole.

The spring from Rusty's would reduce it more.

Bianchi from Safariland makes a very good and sturdy nylon holster. I have one for my 686 and GP-100 - they make them for the K Frames as well. Excellent holster and head and shoulders better value than the Uncle Mikes.

Take Care

Canuck44, thank you for the suggestion. I got one off of Amazon.ca made by PitBull which will do the job for now. I'll keep your suggestion in mind for the future.

Now only if the registration certificate would get here. :bangHead:

Canuck44, I ended buying the Rusty's spring and just installed it. It really does make a difference. When I took the side cover off the adjustment screw I had previously mentioned only adjusts the trigger spring and not the hammer spring. It was a bit of pain to replace but it is worth it. Just had to make sure all the parts were in the right spots when closing. Rusty's instruction were great, no way to really screw up unless you let the springs and parts get away from you.

Tks for the suggestion.

Cheers!!

Very nice!!

I got myself the short cyl. 9251 9mm the other day, (waiting for the transfer), after shooting my friend's the other day. I sooooo didn't need another pistol in my safe, but what the hell, this thing is cool, and for the price, you can't beat it. I'll probably get the Rusty's spring as well, I'll post some pics..

elwoodpdowd, let us know how it shoots.

I also bought the replacement walnut grips, it really gives it a nice touch.

I won't be able to give a before and after review as this revolver has been a safe queen since I bought it (work and such got in the way).

You guys realize you are going to cause me to lighten my already light bank balance. A good friend of mine bought the 9MM and he loves it. Darn I need another gun like a hole in my head.

Take Care

My stubby barreled 9mm only saw some casual use until I got more moonclips a while back. About 2 weeks ago I used the gun in my local club's Speed Steel match. All in all the gun performed for me pretty much as well as my S&W's with the advantage of any reloads I needed to do being much faster. Bottom line? The gun is better than me in all ways and it's MY abilities that are the limiting factor. And clearly from the performance I can stand to get a lot better. Even so I still managed to shoot the 150 round match in about 180 something rounds. So about 35'ish misses that had to be made up.

I suspect that's not helping your wallet not spring out of your pocket, eh? :D
