I am looking for a velcro backed shell carrier to mount to my shotguns.

All the ones I have used curl up when loaded and between the shells the backing and velcro curl up around the shells instead of staying flat.

I know there are a few options in the US for shell carriers that are backed with stiff scuba webbing before the velcro is applied.

Anyone has a source for either Canadian made or available in Canada shell carriers that are rigid enough to not curl up when loaded?

I was thinking about the S&J ones but some of the photos show the carrier curling at the ends. Anyone here running the S&J ones?

I am looking for something that stays rigid and flat.

Thanks

I use the SJ ones, they work fine. Maybe a little curling but nothing that interferes with loading. I tried the HSGI plastic ones but the shells tend to fall out.

Have tried a few brands and they all seem to do this more or less. Have come to the conclusion I don't like them.

Maybe check out the Aridus system. Expensive but looks very solid.

I got tired of all the sidesaddles, and find the belt mounted systems like the California comp are faster. I took my Mesa sidesaddle and just put industrial Velcro on the back of it and on the gun. It worked better than the nylon ones, but I still prefer the California comp
