I posted this thread in a different forum, but thought I would repeat it here as this dealer has a wide selection of rimfires and they are worth considering if you are looking to buy a new rimfire:

I live in Calgary and was looking for a second CZ 452 for my son. Besides the fact that I was quoted high prices, I could not find one anywhere.

I then contacted Prophet River Arms in Lloydminster and not only did they have it in stock at lower prices than what I have been quoted elsewhere, I could choose which CZ 452 I wanted. I decided on a CZ 452 Ultra Lux and called Prophet River and spoke to Clay. Three days later I had my rifle plus two spare magazines - also something I could not find anywhere else despite having put my name on a list at a certain big gun dealer in Calgary and just never to hear back from them.

It was a painless joy to deal with Prophet River Arms and I am prepared to reccommend them to each and all of you.

STOP PUSHING ME............

Into buying one!;)

I've been looking at getting a left-handed CZ 452 Lux. Have you put a scope on it yet? Does it need high mounts?

You must understand that I don't want you to buy a Cz rifle - I am merely mentioning that these rifles are a pleasure to look at, they have nice wood, you can get them with iron sights, they are reasonably priced, they are well made little mini-mausers and will last for generations, they are well balanced and a pleasure to shoot, they are very accurate out of the box and best of all, they are available.

Now, I hope you don't call that pushing.......

May I ask how much you paid for the rifle, and for the magazines (per piece?)?

I was just kidding around...lol:D

I've been looking for a good lefty bolt and the CZ 452 Lux is at the top of my list right now! When I saw your post it makes me want one even more!:) Now I have a good reference to a store as well!

Sorry, I missed the question.

Yes I fitted a Bushnell 4x Banner scope on normal Weaver mounts - no need for high mounts.

My CZ452 American sports a Nikon Prostaff 4x. Pretty classy glass and better optics for the price are not to be had. I think my wife wants it too but its a lefty so likely no problem there.
The CZ was my 10th purchase of a 22 and is going to stay. Sweet little rifle and I just love to shoot it. Almost boring its so accurate and action is starting to smooth out. You cant really go wrong with a CZ. There just arent a lot of companies that make such a nice bolt in that price range. Lifer for sure. The shop I got mine is-everyone owns one. Recently got a CZ527 223 and I am so in love. I can spend a day just shooting those two.
