Looking for a shotgun for hunting duck and shooting clays.

Don't get a 887. They aren't special, I handled one a borrowed one to duck hunt and I was not impressed. It jammed twice

the reason I replaced my 887 was because Remington had machined the receiver poorly which resulted in the pump seizing up after awhile, excellent customer service at Remington though sent me a Cabelas gift card for the amount I paid for the gun there.

I doubt you could go wrong with any of them. I purchased a Benelli and I'm happy with it. The only issue with them appears to be getting parts and mods can be tricky to find and expensive, but on an 870 for example parts are cheap and easy to find. Like you I wanted it for hunting geese and ducks and I am not planning on modding the gun. Also the gun fit me pretty well. So the Benelli was an easy choice. Find a store with a knowledgeable and helpful staff try some different one's out and go with the one that suits the purpose and intentions you have. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

just thought i should update with i am still looking and planning to go try some out this weekend and see what they have in stock. Its been over whelming trying to find something that looks good on paper so i should really get out there.

A new shooter showed up at the range with one, and I was not at all impressed. The action was extremely rough, even after being oiled. It felt like the action was full of sand
