Bought a 1911R BSS Nitron from a CGN'r 2 weeks ago and it just arrived today :d ! ! ! Unfortunately it did not come with a manual :(

But before you say it....I already tried searching Sigs site. The only manual they have listed in the 1911 section is for the GSR1911 model. I'm not sure if the "GSR" designate matters since I'm new to 1911's, so if there are any Sig guys that can clarify that for me as to wether or not I can use that for my model as well, I'd appreciate it.

Before your next question....I did try searching the net......nadda :(

As for the final question that might come up, yes I will try to call them tomorrow. I just wanted to try some of the other Sig owners here that might have an "electronic" solution before I give them a call and pay long distance charges :p

Meanwhile, while I wait for the Exeter NJ plant to open up.....any solutions guys n gals?
Thanks in advance

Any 1911 manual/video will be identical. A 1911 is a 1911. They all field strip more or less the same, subtle differences may be a full-length guide rod which is not on the factory Sig 1911 Nitron. If you are detail stripping, look up instructions for a series 80 frame. The GSR manual will work on your Nitron.

That's what I thought, just needed to hear from someone in the know. Thanx Trini ! Man I can't wait to get this badboy to the range for some field time man :)) I have a few days off this week so it's off to the range I go !

No probs, you'll be impressed at the accuracy of the Sig 1911s. I have a Target Nitron and it is one of my fav shooters. Just be careful not to get a smile face scratch (aka idiot scratch) when replacing the slide release during reassembly. :)

yup, I know exactly what your talking about. I was just watching a video by this guy on YouTube called "ferraristeve" where he shows how to field strip a Sig 1911. And that's a remark he made clear on the reassembly. I'll shoot you a reply in a day or two after I get this badboy out to the range man.....can't wait ! ! !
