Looking for a Smith and Wesson 929 revolver

I agree the 986 looks better but I have a few 686 s with similar look including a snubbie. What I am after is something that is going to rattle steel as fast as possible. The little bit of extra muzzle weight and the muzzle brake combined with the titanium cylinder for cycling speed in a nine should be an interesting addition. I have had k, L and n frames (including a couple of 625s) so I am familiar with the subtle handling variations. The 986 being a L frame and the 929 being a N frame. This will not be a show piece, it is a purpose gun and may end up with a "speed optic" (not sure which one yet) in an open holster soon after arrival. I expect it will have a few thousand rounds through it by winter.

This is part of my set up ( I make steel targets for handgun and long range)

Picture is somewhat deceiving for distance of plates. Typically 15 to 35 yards.

Shooter's Choice 2014 Ltd has a 986 pro too. (Location is shown as Vulcan AB) Are they a different company?

Another question about these. An average 9mm isn't that hot of a load. Wouldn't it make more sense to offer these in a K frame and a L rather than a N frame?

The L version is a 7 shot and would be pretty tough to fit in a k frame. The 929 is an eight shot and is in the N frame but it is a round butt n frame so even smaller grips than pictured with it could be used.
The 986 and 929 with reduced length cylinder in Titanium should make for a pretty quick cycle time. I hope to have them coming out pretty hot to make the comp work on the 929. Probably not quite as hot as my 9mm major Trubor though.

If you do a search on 9mm + p loads and the 929 you will get an idea of how hot they are coming out.
