Looking for a specific shotgun...

- 12 or 20 gauge
- o/u
- 24" barrels (26" would be acceptable as well)
- interchangeable chokes

Must be less then $1000.

Am I asking too much?

The Citori Upland Special in 12 & 20 came fitted with 24in bbls and those are visible on the Used shelves from time to time. Come to think of it, Le Baron store (Mississauga, ON) had even a new one in 12ga (currently discontinued - believe remnant of old inventory) on display a few days back. Such used gun, dependent on condition, could range from $900 - $1300....might be less if acquired off a private sale.

Moreover, the Stoeger Condor O/U (new) also come in a 24in version.

CZ makes them and I think Stoeger has a 24" model?

For 26 inch barrels you will probably need to go to a 20 gauge. One that would meet your criteria is the Yildiz SPZM sold by Prophet River. These are not high end guns but many people seem to like them for their light weight ,though I have heard of some trigger issues with them.

Hmmm... the Stoegers look nice... and a comfortable price range too. I'll have to keep my eye out for one of these.
