Don't be afraid of the floating pin.

After thousands of rounds and half assed bolt cleanings I've never ever had a slam fire, or even sticky firing pin. It always shakes freely within the bolt.

Stick with the proven design, and if it aint broke, don't fix it.
 
Don't waste your money. the murray's pin is the answer to the question that no one asked. just clean the rifle and all will be fine.
