Looking to get a Toaster/convection oven to cure powder coated bullets.
PA hasn’t had stock since November in my area.
I’d rather buy locally from a big box store.

What are you using?
I’d prefer something with more than one shelf.
I can add my own PID controller if temperature control is spotty.

I got my convection toaster oven from Value Village for $15. Not sure if quebec has Value village but check out local thrift stores and Kijiji/Market Place.

Ive got a working toaster oven in the back of my truck right now I'm taking to the electronics recycling place. Bought a fancier one for Christmas. If you were closer you could have my old one.

The shelves were full at Canadian Tire before Christmas.

Forget which model mine is but it has a rotisserie which means it is higher than most models.

Which means I can but two to three trays of bullets in at one time.

The convection helps a great deal with even temperatures.

Use the top of the toaster to prewarm your tray of bullets as it heats up

My local thrift stores didn't have any when I went looking, so I ended up with a $20 Wally World special. I can only do one tray at a time, but I have the next one ready to go in in the time it takes to bake the one in the oven, so I'm always cycling them through.

I just picked up another toaster oven from my local thrift store the day before yesterday for $15.oo it's twice the size as the one I was using. Not sure if it will maintain a steady temp yet or not because I haven't tried it but it does work.

A few years back, CT had a sale on a convection oven for about $ 85 and I bought one.
It's thermostat was out to lunch and I overcooked the bullets, ruining thousands.

Last year, they had a sale on cheapies at $30 and I bought one. Checking with a thermometer, it held its temp. well and I bought a second for a backup.
It resides, unopened in the attic of my garage. I always check the temp nowadays before I put in a tray of bullets.

I got mine at value village for 7 bucks. Got some baking trays and some sort of perforated tray with sturdy handles for separating bullets for powder for next to nothing at the same time.

I didn’t pay $10 but I got this one off of Kijiji for $45.
I then powder coated 600 9mm with Princess Auto Power Fist Blue using the shake and bake method.
It took 3 coats but it got the job done.

Please make sure you bake in a well ventilated area.
Some powders contain TGIC, TGIC is a class 2 mutagen.

So watch the dust and baking fumes and practice good hygiene

TGIC is non toxic after being baked
