I just picked up a beautiful winchester model 64. I checked the serial number and it was manufactured in 1910. The blueing is near perfect and it appears to be a great condition original gun. I had been looking for a Marlin 336 but came across this at what I thought a good price and couldnt pass it up.
Before I say what price I paid....what do you guys put for a value on this thing?
Thank you!!

Something wrong here as the model 64 was introduced in 1933. What you may have is a model 1894 which was re-barrelled with a model 64 barrel.

Ahhh that makes sense and yes you are correct. I just looked closer and it is 1894 and the barrel is the 64.
Well that probably hurts the value.
I paid $500 for it. Probably worth the $500

The lighting is not that great on the first couple, But ,I can see that the wood has been refinished, and I think from what I see the frame is polished and reblued.
Usally they are case hardened, But with out it in hand, I could be wrong. It does look good, and money wise you are fine.
If it was all correct and original, would be worth way more than what you paid 1200-1500.oo

As has been pointed out, it's a 94 rifle that's been rebarreled with a 64 barrel. A proper 64 would have a pistol grip and a thicker forearm, just for starters. For what you paid for it, you didn't get ripped off, but it's not a steal either.

If it was all correct and original, would be worth way more than what you paid 1200-1500.oo

And if it was a Westley Richards double it would be worth $30K. A condo in Vancouver would be $1.2 Million.

But it's not any of those. It's a botched up cobble job. Shoot it and enjoy it OP, that's what it's for.
