Hi,

This is my 2nd post on CGN - after the 1st one to the Newbie forum.

I have a small hand and have trouble holding my CZ with the stock grips. I recently held a CZ 75 SHADOWLINE which had thin aluminum grips from the factory. A huge difference in feel.

What are good, THIN grips for the SP01 Shadow? Where can I get them? I've seen some thin ones at DLASK. Are these similar to the SHADOWLINE ones?

Thx,
Ray

I found the same with my shadow mate (which comes with med aluminum grips) and purchased the thin/low profile aluminum grips from Dlask. It now fits me perfectly.

I've included an image from a cz forum that compares the regular stock grip to the G10 VZ grips and the thin aluminum grips. According to CZcustom, the Plastic (Factory) grips have a width of 1.43" and the thin aluminum grips are 1.13". I think you'll be happy with these grips.

Hope this helps.

I have searched their website and found the selection is really low. Do I have to call them?

Also, IIRC == if I recall correctly?

Are all thin aluminum ones the same?

Thx,
Ray

No idea about the VZ grips, although they look very close to the thickness of the thin aluminum ones. Below is link to the table from CZ custom, it seems like the thin grip tape and thin aluminums are the same thickness.

If you do end up buying the grips, try to locate a T20 torx driver. Silly me used a philips /allen key combo and damaged the head. Luckily a buddy had a spare....

Shoot safe.

I run the thin aluminum blue with grip tape on my cz clone..my stock shadow grips fit too, but it's amazing how much more control I get with the thin ones...check the look on the norinco nz-85 thread below....

Call them. CRAFM's website isn't accurate.
Yes, IIRC = If I Remember Correctly
For the most part, yes. Any difference will be due to manufacturing tolerances.

When I decided to put thinner grips on my CZ 75B, I too considered the Aluminum grip option, but I decided that I didn't really
want to spent all that money on new Aluminum grips just so I could cover them with sand paper. Then I found the VZ Tactical
Diamond G10 grips. The G10's were just as thin as the Aluminum ones and I thought they looked a hell of a lot better. So I ordered a
pair directly from VZ for $75 US (still the same price today) and I was totally satisfied with them. They are very thin, very strong,
very "grippy" and they look great. You should really take a long hard look at the VZ option.

Highly unlikely thin grips will make any difference. CZ 75's frame is just too big for small hands. Trigger's too far forward. Vs the width being too wide. Would had one myself when they first came to Canada, in the early 80's(and I had money, sniff.) except my hand is too short. Try the Al though.
