Looking for advice: pistol 22lr with ambidextrous features.

Hello to all,

Looking for advice with regard to a semi -automatic pistol 22lr with ambidextrous feature (magazine release , slide release). I don't want to buy crap from companies that offer no warranty (Ruger for example, their web page is red with recalls....), or frail white metal (GSG for example). Not interested in Chinese pistols or any kind of revolvers.

I have seen a M&P 22 that might have some ambidextrous features. Walther also has a model.

Looking for advice, what people like.

I just received a mark 4 target and it’s very accurate.I had a grande power and sig 229 22 rimfire and browning 1911 22 and they are nice guns but not even close to the Ruger for accuracy.If you actually want to hit your target then get the Ruger.
 
The K22 is a fantastic pistol. My local club has them as rental pistols and they have been from what I understand pretty much flawless over the past 3 years. I was going to purchase one however I find they are hard to come by locally here in NS. I found the K22s to be a better feel for me than the K22s x-trim which is the deluxe model.

My K22 was one of the earlier ones and was a little picky with ammo. From what I've seen that others have posted they have improved.

Having said that I still feel the best .22 handgun is either a platform that was designed from the ground up for that caliber (Browning Buck Mark, Ruger MK I,II,III,IV etc etc) or a revolver. From all you see in threads on here it seems many/most of the rimfire versions of centerfire pistols have cycling issues and are fussy.

I am left handed and just adapt to right handed guns. I feel it would rule out too many 22lr pistols if I were to look for left handed features. I will say though I do like the mag release location on the S&W 22A.
 
I have Ruger MKIV manufactured after the recall and it's extremely nice for a .22 pistol. Chamber and feed ramp are factory polished really nicely.
I have about 350 mini mags though her so far with no issues at all.
