Looking for advice: Ruger MK III or Browning Buckmark or S and W 22A?

I personally would skip the accurizing kit and just get the MK2 bushing. Changing out the bushing gets rid of the magazine safety which allows mags to drop free and makes the trigger nicer. I've polished up and stoned some internals and can't feel the difference between that ,with stock parts, and the accurizing kit.

Bushing and houge grips are avail from brownell's.

I would just like to add, that I have dealt with ShootersChoice.ca......and the owner Roger was 100% to deal with..Customer service there is as good as it get's......

Love my MarkIII :) Very accurate, no recoil at all, small caliber on in pistol this heavy. My gf prefer the Buckmark for the weight.

Ruger Mk III - not picky with ammo, accuracy not bad; can go at least 1000 rds without cleaning; grip angle a bit awkward
Browning Buckmark - very picky on ammo, and needs frequent cleaning, at par or better in accuracy with Ruger Mk III; grip is ok
SW 22A - also picky on ammo (at least the one I had a chance to try), lighter and accuracy is not bad; grip is not bad

IMO, it will be a toss between Ruger Mk III and Browning Buckmark (I have a Contour and it is a keeper)

Don't forget that Ruger makes the Mark III in 22/45 model (1911 grip angle). If you go for it, make
sure it has replaceable panels (grips). The model number would end with RP. Lots of 1911 grips
out in the market.

My Buck Mark feels almost like a 1911 to me. Very accurate, hasn't been picky on ammo, and is very easy to strip down to clean. I've been shooting standard velocity ammo like Federal bulk and Remington Target ammo through it no problems. I haven't gone longer than 300 rounds without cleaning so I'm not sure how long it would last before malfunctions start to pop up. One thing I don't like is that my point of aim changes slightly after I detail strip it. The top strap (which has the rear sight attached) has to come off to remove the slide and firing assembly so when I re-assemble it does shift my point of aim ever so slightly. For the price of these things I couldn't be happier. Oh, and mags are a sunuvabiatch to find. I lucked out and found a few spares. Those cheapskates at Browning only send one mag with the pistol...and then forget to make spares!

this is the age old question that gets asked all the time and I myself in the past have asked it too! I can't speak of the S&W but i can for the Ruger 22/45 and the buckmark...I own the buckmark personally and i love it! super sweet gun and is not picky on ammo! Hope this helps you.

So I have had my new Lite for exactly one day, ......and am already ordering mods for it!
Starting with the Hogue wrap around rubber grips from Hi cal.
What would you guys recommend next?

I have a Buckmark and put a Tactical Sollutions barell on it, its super light and shoots darts all day long! My wife has R.A. and she loves it to, any other calibers make her wrist swell and the T.S. barrell lightened it up.

I have looked at the Paclite barrels for mine already, but I think I'll wait and shoot it for awhile, and then see what my accuracy is like before I decide if I need to do a barrel swap.
Got my Tactical Solutions Compensator in the mail today from Wanstalls, what a nice piece!!
