Looking for an Over Under shot gun/rifle

I have a buddy who is looking for an O/O 20ga with a 30-30 barrel. He remembers one he used to use in his youth.

So far I have only been able to turn up Bakail making a IZH-94 in 30-06/12ga that is close (and suitable in his mind)

So far I can't seem to track one down using usual suspects......

Any ideas fellas?

The .30-30/20 was most likely a Savage 24. They do come up on the EE every now and then, but aren't as cheap as they once were.

Savage is bring it out again the 24 that is..forget what combo though..only one choice and with plastic stock/forearm

That's the new Model 42, only in .410/.22rf to start with.

I think the old 24 was made in 20ga/.30-30, but am not certain. (Mine's a .223Remington/12ga.) You just have to be patient and diligent about watching the EE and other classifieds and canvassing the dealers to catch one when it comes up. Trade Ex Canada (T.E.C., a site sponsor with a link/advert at the top of the page) had a lot Valmet combinations a while ago. I don't think Europeans are very likely to use .30-30 for the rifle barrel, but he might find something that interests him there.

Savage 24V was chambered 30-30 Win over 20 Gauge.

i prefer the savage over the baykal. baykal need to be re open between each shot to recrank it, not the savage.
