Looking for backpacking shotgun

A month or two back I saw irunguns was selling some remington tac 14s and mossberg 500s with the birds head grip.

Anyone know where I could find either or those? Everywhere I check seems to be out.

North Pro Sports sells Tac-14's for a good price and only one province away. Put a folding pistol grip stock on it or Magpul SGA stock if you want it to be more practical.

One suggestion: order quite a bit of "low recoil" ammo as well. Something in the range of 1100 to max 1300 FPS.

Shooting a slug at 1600 or 1700 FPS out of those guns isn't really fun ..... I can tell you .... it hurts!!

I can imagine! Gladly I have lots of low recoil birdshot/target load and low recoil slugs.

I'd like to try the birdshead grip myself. Did you purchase a TAC-14?

I have a few guns that are birdhead. You really need to use the push-pull to keep it manageable.
