I am just wondering if anyone happens to have the Berger Load Data book and would be able to look up some 300 Win Mag load data for me?

I am using H1000 powder. Looking for data for 175 grain Target VLD and 200 grain Hybrid Target.

I am also looking for load data using Sierra 190 grain HPBT Match King, using H1000.

Thanks. :)

Load for the bullet weight. Who made it doesn't matter except for Barnes' solids. There's H1000 data for all those weights on Hodgdon's site. Max loads are compressed. Nothing to worry about.

I can't believe I'm agreeing with Sunray but... yes.

I group load data for all solids together though, not just Barnes. So Hornady GMX as well as others.

For OAL you need to play around with that and figure out what works best. If you are planning on running the rounds in a magazine I would load the COAL as long as possible that will fit in the magazine and cycle properly. If I'm going to be single loading the rounds at the range I tend to load so they are a few thou off the lands which usually means they wont fit in my mags. I only do that with non-hunting bullets (non-bonded) as I would never need to run them through a mag for hunting.

Berger bullets tend to be jump sensitive and want to be loaded as close to the lands as possible or even jammed into them. I switched to SMK's because I found it annoying and am not good enough to notice a difference in accuracy.

Thanks guys. I will send Berger an email and see what they come back with.

I am using a magazine, so I will double check the COAL before I load a bunch up.

Berger Manual -300win mag -175gr target H-1000 (start)78.0gr - (max) 82.0gr
Doesn't list 200gr load data. - 190gr H-1000 (start)-75.0gr -max (79.2gr)
210gr H-1000 (start)71.5gr - (max)75.5gr.

I hope this help's & sorry for the hen scratch, my wife is out & I have 3 little ones running around..

Please be safe...................

This is the load data Berger sent me for the 175 Grain Target VLD using H1000.

Start Load: 78.0g
Approx. Start Velocity: 2914
Max. Load: 82.0g
Approx. Max. Velocity: 3084
Fill Ratio: 103%
SAAMI COAL: 3.340"

Berger's load data is slow too, IMO.

I load them in .308, 30-06, and eventually 300 win mag.

So far for .308 and 30-06, their data is at least 100 fps slower than I can easily get in any of the rifle's I have tried.
