Looking for C8SFW upper

Hi, I looking for the upper of a C8SFW. Is it even possible to own one. I know I wouldn't be able to own the whole thing, as it is full auto capable. But is there any place that sells at least the upper receiver portion? I had the privilege of handeling the SFW this summer, and I really liked the feel and the look of it. I tried searching this topic and it couldn't find anything, even though I know I've seen pics of it here :p .

Stretch, Diemaco doesn't sell to individuals. For the same 'feel', it's basically a 16" with carbine length handguards, all AR-15 brands offer one of these. Pick your poison.

The CQB has a cold hammer forged barrel with a sleeve near the muzzle end for the grenade launcher attachment. American brands in Canada replicate the M4 barrel profile or use a straight heavy barrel. The M4 cut would be closer to the weight of the CQB.

Ya, I didn't think so, I just thought I'd ask just in case ;) A couple buddies of mine said it was possible, but know i know they're full of it. Thanks for the info.
 
It would be possible to have one replicated if you wanted it bad enough. As already stated, it's simply a 1/7 twist 16" barrel with carbine gas system. The barrel is a medium weight profile under the handguards and the sleeve at the front could be added. I'd measure one for you but I don't have any calipers, someone on here must have access to both the tools and barrels, a weapons tech perhaps.

Sure, I was thinking of picking up a cheap caliper. We now have two C8SFW's (or C8FTHB as they're marked) per section in the light battalions so access isn't an issue, it's just that I don't have the proper tools right now.

I believe dangertree was interested in this info as well.
