Saw a couple of them in a gun show in WA last month (for only US$650), but not anywhere in Canada. Sigh...
Prproulx, it's good that you are not Commanderless. 45 ACP is the classic caliber for a 1911 type. A Commander in 9mm is also a desirable piece, you can't beat the $10./box of the cheaper commercial 9mm. I am now going to make the assumption that you don't reload, if you set yourself up with the reloading basics, you will be able to pump out your own .45 ACP ammo cheaper than you can buy the cheapest 9mm ammo; plus you will be able to load 9mm (and any others) cheaper than you can buy any commercial stuff............food for thought.thecollector,
I saw them. I just bought a NIB lightweight Commander of the EE. It's a .45acp.
A lot of us would also like a 9mm version so we can shoot cheap ammo. I can't believe how much .45acp costs these days!
