Looking for compact scope recommendation?

I am looking for a compact scope that can go from low power (such as 2x) to 10x magnification. I know Nightforce makes one. However, I prefer not to spend so much on this as it is going onto a Tavor.
Any other brand?
The reason for the compact size is the length available on the Tavor. A standard 12" scope plus 3" eye relief will take up too much room.

I was looking for about the same thing as you. I ended up with the nightforce 2.5-10, I had a deal for a used one. Looks perfect on the tavor.

Maybe a leupold mark 4 2.5-8x36 ? with the M2 knobs it seems quite low and compact, not as much as the nightforce though...

What about your budget ?

My budget - I am hoping to spend less than $500. I looked into Bushnell Trophy 3-9x but they were too "long". Leupold mark 4 2.5-8x 36 with M2 is 11" long plus 3" eye relief. Therefore, I am looking at about 14" long. I am hoping for something more compact.

Try the short flacon menace 1.5-5. Forget the number but Allen Gun works has them for $300. Just put one on my SL8 and I like it

Thanks for the suggestion but SL8 has a longer length so the length of scope and its eye relief is not a problem. The Tavor is much shorter. With a standard length scope, my head will be at the end of the rifle. Not a very comfortable position to shoot.
