Looking for Dillon

I would contact msg.drew here on the site to see what he can get. He has been able to get me everything I have ever asked of him to get. He is also a site sponsor, so dealing with him should be a no brainer. Support the guys who support us.

I've found Dillon and Epps is a dealer. Epps isn't giving any pricing I would like to know what I'm looking at in Can Funds, maybe I`ll just Email them.
Someone suggested "Msg.Drew" who is that? Sorry I'm new here, not familiar with everything.

After reading what you'all to say and with some sound advise through PM I think as a newbie it will be wise to go with a single stage press. My research guided me to Hornaby Lock and Load Classic kit it looks to be the most complete kit and with the free bullet deal is a great value.

dillon dies

can you order dillon dies from the states?

Sorry to hijack the post, but I am wondering if they are controlled or not.

what? why would you go with a single stage?
people told you to go single stage because they wanted to feel important with their progressive?

I went dillon 550 as my first press, it'll do everything, there's nothing complicated about it.

You`re right, but when I add all that it`s gonna require since I`m starting new, it will add up to mega bucks, approx $900.00 can, plus shipping. I still want to have money left to buy guns. So getting into a kit like the Hornaby Lock and Load Classic will get me all the other stuff like scales, book and so on... plus they are offering 300 free bullets as a bonus which I will need. I can always upgrade to a progressive press in a couple years if I so choose. It will depend on how much I`m shooting, it may be that the single stage will meet all my requirements.
We will see!
But thanks for you input.

oh well if money is an issue, best bet would be to postpone everything, if you're already making sacrifices over what you really wanted, you'll cut somewhere else too.

Starting reloading seems like a never ending money pit, I was there until not long ago. At the same time I was trying to finish 3 builds, not very clever of me but now that everything is done (almost) I feel a huge relief and truly enjoy the practicality of my progressive.

If you're planning to do alot of pistol shooting and some rifle shooting go with a progressive, you won't regret it. If you plan on doing the opposite or you don't even shoot pistol, then go ahead with the single stage. Hornady's get loaded promotion sure looks good

If you are loading rifle, with the exception of high volume .223 users I would go with a single stage. The RCBS RockChucker now the Supreme11 has been the single stage press for over 40 years. Most single stage are good but the RCBS unit is top of the line IMHO.

I have the Dillon 550B and it is a great press. I added the case dispenser so rifle is out unless I want to disengage the case feeder.

Take Care

Bob
ps You will have the press long after the free bullets are long gone. Buy the press not the trinkets that go with it.
