Goodday guys,

I'm thinking on future/follow on projects after my M2 .22 (scaled down .50)

I like the scaled down .22 "big gun" concept, but before I wander further into the world, and make another one, I'd like to get my hands on some better drawings of the following guns:

Lewis
Bren
Vickers
MG-34
MG-42
M-60

Not wanting to get started on something I can't finish, I'm going to research a bit, but if anyone has a source for good drawings of the above guns, parts break-down, dimensions, etc, I'd love to get a closer look.

So, what should I be looking at? Do the collectors grade series have good reference drawings that I can look at?

This is not a near-term production, but something I'm going to think about through the summer, and work towards next winter. The next one may be a slightly larger scale kit that can adapt to a 10/22, (due to availability and me not wanting to be a "manufacturer") but I have to look at drawings and such before I'd go on.

So, Sources, suggestions, comments?

Thanks gang,

NS

Hmm. I can't help you with reference material but I think a 10/22 based Bren replica would turn out very well.

If you inverted the action you could locate the 30 rd mag in the correct top feed location, possibly inside a dummy mag of the correct shape.

It would eject out the side instead of the bottom unless you built a deflector of some sort into the receiver housing.

I think about 60% scale would look right. I can provide detail pics an measurements from my Inglis MkII 8mm if you'd like.

There are plans available for a reduced size 1919A4 or 1917A1 lookalike built around a 10/22.

Ok, I'm going to try and get ahold of them.

We'll see where this goes!

NS, I've got a full size architecture type schematic of the Vickers. And it's on the huge paper.. If you can utilize it somehow, it's here.

Koldt,

I'm going to play out the 1919 first, and see how that goes.

Once I've got one (or more) of them up and running, I might adapt to the Vickers.

More to follow. I now have a line on the plans, even though the company no longer has a valid e-mail address.
