As stated above, I'm looking for eyecups for my Trinovid binoculars that date back to the 80's. The eyecups had flexible cups that could fold down for eye glass users. Unfortunately, after a while they break off.
I recall there was a distributer in the Toronto area that had a good inventory of parts, but I couldn't find them with a quick search on the web.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
Bill

you are probably thinking of Kindermann Canada .... google says they have moved to Mississauga and joined another company

please let me know -- I have a set of 7x,42 that will eventually need a set of eye 'cups'

Try EBay, if not, Land Sea & Sky have them, Mirakel Optical as well. Last resort, send an email to Holger Merlitz, he found some hard to find rubber pieces for my older Zeiss binos.

Kindermann doesn't service Leica anymore. AFAIK, you have to go to Leica USA. Give them a call, they sent me out a set of eyecups for Leitz 10x40's I had for $10 or so a few years back.

Hello,

Leica (and older Leitz products) are handled directly by Leica USA - we do not have a Leica distributor/warranty center in Canada.

Please PM or email (precisionoptics@telus.net) the model and serial number of your current or older Leica/Leitz product(s) and I will advise, and get you, the parts that are available.

Cheers,

Omer

and Holger's e-mail is ???? and he is with whom?
Thanks

Sorry, I should have mentioned that. He is a German physician and also huge optics enthusiast. He's not affiliated with anyone and he doesn't sell anything but he is very passionate about optics and helped me a few times to source rare binos parts I couldn't find in North America. He maintains a blog and a website where he reviews various optical products, mostly binos. Very knowledgeable guy and quite friendly.
