Looking for feed back on AT15 lower

I'll start off by saying I do own a AT15 lower.

I agree with the rest, get rid of the hump on the magwell.

If you can make the trigger guard chamfered on the underside. I've posted in your dealer section about the trigger guard rubbing my middle finger raw. but maybe I have messed up hands...

As well it would be awesome to see if you can make a lower with ambi bolt release.

Also, I am wondering why the front pivot pin sits flush instead of other lowers where it protrudes out.

Don't own an ATRS lower, but have been trying to convince myself that it is worth the $550. IMO the finger grooves aren't appealing, and I'm more likely to go with another billeted lower in that case.

Ok we ditched the "bumps" added the trigger guard relief for fingers to not get rubbed. Added alot more radiused edges, have captured the 2 springs that always go into the great beyond when taking off the pistol grip or butt stock. We have also beefed up the magwell and transition from magwell to trigger guard.

Anything else while we are at it??
Now is the time to suggest any other improvements you would like to see.

Now would be the time for any additional feedback

How about another through screw to hold the mag catch instead of a roll pin? You could get my meaning if you look up a photo of a Spikes billet lower.

A bit out to left field, but I notice that nobody makes a lower than allows for bolt hold open with the right hand. A button on the right that would lift the bolt stop would be awesome for clearing malfunctions. In essence, it would function as an integral BAD lever, but without the cheesy, easy to snag wraparound lever.

They are on the market.

Interesting. Who makes them? I've seen many designs for a bolt release, but not a hold open.

I looked into this and it. It will be a royal PITA to pull that off given our tooling.
It can be done obviously, but it would require doing by hand after final machine op is done, which will significantly add to the cost.
If we had CNC machines like Seekins does it would be simple but with our simpler machines it is just not viable.

Kinda reinventing the wheel here are we not?

I own one of your lowers from your first run, love it, works good with gloves and is ascetically pleasing. Adding that huge trigger guard makes it kinda fugly IMHO.

I like to match things up and keep things consistent, it's too bad your older and newer lowers wont match now. This would be the 3rd gen IIRC.

As others have mentioned the MEGA and Magpul lowers are very nice, it would be awesome to see you replicate these designs. Furthermore it would be nice to see ATRS stick with one design and run with it, keep pumping them out and keep overall cost down. All this reprogramming and re-tooling just drives prices up eventually.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Jus sayin'

What are the options for the custom serial number? is there a limit to how long? letters and numbers? i am interested and would like to know more.

Thanks

Yes custom serial numbers can be done. We are limited to 6 alphanumeric digits. With notice we can also do custom engraving.

Here is what we have come up with so far. The model does not show the front of magwell grip but it will be the same as we used before.
The threaded capture screws for the 2 springs also do not show up but will be done on the lowers.
ALL the edges are radiused rather than chamfered. The trigger bow is scalloped for fingers. We retained the take down pin tensioner too so no Accuwedge is required.
