Looking for fellow MB's too shoot with

I was wondering if there are some fellow Mb to shoot with this winter? I live in River Heights but do all my bench shooting at Lake of the Woods. I'd love to find some shooting just south of wpg.

Talk to some farmers. Most have no prob. letting people shoot.

Have you considered joining up at the Selkirk range? 200 yards and benches to shoot from.

I was a member for 2 years but I am looking to shoot 400 yards plus+++.

I'm in Winnipeg myself......if you find somewhere near the city limits that provides 400+ yds let me know.....I'd definitely be interested.

Just today my co-worker talked about a 1000 yrd range on the west side of the city. We are going to investigate it further tomorrow. I'll let you know.

He said it was a military range that anyone could join, there were only certain days you could show up though.

jkc, that's St. Charles range. Near the Assinboine downs. Manitoba Provincial Rifle Assoc shoots there in the summer.

Try the Seven Sisters Range, it's about 400M if memory serves.

www.manitobarifle.ca controls civi access to the St.Charles Range. The season is wrapped up though.

We really need some more ranges!

WOW!!! I can't believe that people in Winnipeg are having difficulty finding 400+YDS!!!

I drove through there once and if I recall, you can see your dog running away from home for 4 days. Can't you just drive out of town for 30 minutes and all of a sudden, you are the only person on earth?...

While that is true....it's difficult to find somewhere to legally shoot.

+1 on a back 40 long range near Winnipeg. Anyone finds one, put the word out and you'll have a party in no time.

MPRA is a riot - be sure to join up next season. 400yards won't seem that long anymore.

Where I go shootin there is flat for further then the eye can see.
