Ive been doing tons of research and dont seem to be getting any further on my search for a all around great first AR. Brand, piston, gas chambers, so much to consider. Looking for any and all advice. Money isnt a huge obstacle either, I want something that will last, doesnt have to be the most powerful and accurate. Also, a place to go to purchase them would also help. Thanks everyone!

I've been advised by many M14 lovers who own AR15 rifles that things are a lot more fun
here in the MBR Forum. 
Often we field milsurp questions and all kinds of other stuff because of the culture / atmosphere HERE.
At the ORA CQB shoots (read: AR rifles dominate) popular brands do very well including Norc M4 rifles for $ 700. Just run whatever AR platform you choose VERY WET and you will be good to go.
I have seen Stags, RRA's, Bushies, Colts (ORA members actually SHOOT their Colts), Armalites, Norcs, personal builds on Spikes, Olympic Arms and the like; on my range! Just run them wet with lube (any lube, I don't wanna start an argument with exotic brands versus CLP or Hoppes)
