looking for first black gun

I have never looked at them because I didn't see the point in having a gun that I con only use locally in a 27m range. My question is what is out there for non-restricted. Is the Nroinco M4 non-restricted, seems like a good enty level gun for little money.............relatively little. There is one in the EE. All imput is appreciated.

PS New to site and didn't find anything in the search for the M4.
 
Do you mean the Norinco CQ 5.56?

It's an AR-15 clone and classified as a restricted firearm.

Thanks, I thank you for the quick reply. I don't want another range gun. Have a full IPSC 38 super for that. I want something I can go anywhere with. Thanks FNROB for the link.

what are they worth...............wrong question, what would a guy have to pay? Value and cost have nothing to do with each other I am finding out the more toys I get.
 
For an AR-180B? They seem to average about $1200-1500 for a used one in the EE. Since they are discontinued for now, your best bet would be to either put up a want ad in the EE, or locate one in the US and have it imported. If you try the import route, make sure you get the 20 inch barrel model, since an 18 inch barrel would be just short of the requirements of non-restricted barrel length.
 
You might want to consider a SKS.

I know they are not a "black rifle" but they are really nice guns. fun to shoot, cheap to buy, cheap to feed, non-restricted and you can buy TONS of aftermarket parts and accessories for them!

A few other good choices would be the CZ-858, a upgraded ruger mini14 or a robarms.

Rumor has it Rob Arms might come out with an XCR Variant in 308 which would be lovely. Hopefully there's some truth in that.
 
I looked through the sponser's pages here and found some interesting options and the price is from little,SKS to as my kids would type OMG, I may have to go the the good ole USA and hit one of the ranges and shoot everything. Got to love living within 20 minutes from the border.
